Alfred Loquet, ingénieur, “Mines d’étains de Kinta,” in Kampar,
Perak State, Malaya, with route directive endorsed “via Brindisi +
Penang,” with Penang (9 May) c.d.s., Taiping (9 May) squared
circle, and next-day Kampar squared circle receiver, light upper
right crease, else a very fine and highly unusual Far East
destination. The Kinta tin-mining district of Perak was then one of
the world’s great centres of tin production; mail to interior
Malaya, and particularly to Kampar addressed to a named mining
engineer, is distinctly uncommon
