writing "Crossed on the ice-breaker 'Baikal', all around were
mountains covered in cloud. The train goes around the steep banks.
On one side are snow-covered mountains, on the other the breakers
of Baikal...We'll be in Kharbin in six days", some typical tone
spots, else fine. In July 1904, the three-battalion Samara Infantry
Regiment had been dispatched to Manchuria to reinforce the Russian
Army
