1915 (July 1), Marine Luftschiff-Abteilung Leipzig-Mockau, feldpost
picture postcard to Biersbach, showing a view of Leipzig (Neues
Rathaus) and bearing the violet circular "Marine
Luftschiff-Abteilung / Leipzig-Mockau / Briefstempel alongside" a
Leipzig-Eutritzsch machine cancel of the same date, the sender
identifying himself as “Abs: Klein, II. Komp. Leipzig-Mockau,” the
handwritten message dated 6 May 1915 and signed “Klein” with a
possible second signature, fresh and very fine, with superb quality
strikes; mail from Leipzig-Mockau, one of the major German naval
Zeppelin bases of the First World War, is quite elusive.
