Marine-Luftschiff-Abteilung / Prüfstelle and cancelled Ahlhorn (Oldenburg), address panel showing the sender’s return notation identifying him as a crewman of the detachment, with a brief personal message, a fine and scarce early Zeppelin crew Feldpost usage from the important naval airship base at Ahlhorn.

1915 (July 1), Marine Luftschiff-Abteilung Leipzig-Mockau, feldpost picture postcard to Biersbach, showing a view of Leipzig (Neues Rathaus) and bearing the violet circular "Marine Luftschiff-Abteilung / Leipzig-Mockau / Briefstempel alongside" a Leipzig-Eutritzsch machine cancel of the same date, the sender identifying himself as “Abs: Klein, II. Komp. Leipzig-Mockau,” the handwritten message dated 6 May 1915 and signed “Klein” with a possible second signature, fresh and very fine, with superb quality strikes; mail from Leipzig-Mockau, one of the major German naval Zeppelin bases of the First World War, is quite elusive.

1916 (August 24), LZ-88, naval Feldpost from Seddin to Hamburg, picture postcard showing Stolp i. Pom, endorsed Feldpost, struck with a bold violet circular Kommando L.Z.88 / Seddin (Kr. Stolp) cachet with Imperial eagle at centre, the message signed “Otto,” a fresh example with choice strikes. The LZ-88—later redesignated L-25—served as an army reconnaissance airship before transfer to the navy for bombing operations; it remained in service until its crash on 15 September 1917.

Armeekorps, picture side showing a contemporary view of Kowno, a fine and scarce Feldpost item from a Zeppelin construction detachment operating under the XIV Army Corps.
