Haven machine cancel, to London, England, postmarked with Charing
Cross squared circle (20 Oct), crossed-out and forwarded "care of
the United States Consul at Smyrna, Turkey", with corresponding
violet handstamp, reverse with Bedford St. c.d.s. (20 Oct) and
British Post Office Smyrna (27 Oct) backstamps, small piece torn
from back flap, striking and unusual.
