Russia, Former Soviet Republics, 1919/2005, extensive mint and used collection in two albums and a stockbook,comprising thousands of stamps on over 60 double-sided Vario pages and 30 stockbook pages, predominantly mint never hinged from the 1990s and unusually complete for the newly independent states, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with singles, sets and a strong showing of souvenir sheets, earlier material also present with Estonia 1919–1941 nearly complete used, further with a large grouping of Ukrainian issues (mostly 1990s) and an accumulation of cinderellas and ATM-issued postage, albums with a light tobacco smell though contents remain fresh, a challenging and highly complete assembly for this popular field, with owner’s detailed inventory list valuing at over $4,600.
