France and Colonies, 1849–1976, useful collection of many thousands of mint and used in three albums and a small box of additional material, comprising a France New World-Wide album approximately 90% complete to 1977 and over 90% mint from the 1930s onward, a France Minkus album to 1976 with fresh, clean pages, housing chiefly used issues of the 1920s–1940s and otherwise more sparsely filled, and a further France album highly complete from 1923, nearly all mint to 1969, noted for a strong grouping of pré-oblitérés, 1961–70 Red Cross booklets hinged on pages, and 18 pages of French Colonies common design issues including the complete 1946 Chad to Rhine set of 90, together with more than 100 classic France singles, the 1fr carmine with tear, plus a small box containing five 1982 Red Cross booklets and a few épreuve proofs, some faults among the classics as to be expected, otherwise fine to very fine overall, inspection recommended, a worthwhile holding for continuation or careful breakdown.
