1895 (June 13), 1sh bisect on registered cover from Apia to New Zealand, franked with 2d dull orange alongside, each tied by crisp Apia double-circle d.s., to Remuera, near Auckland, New Zealand, endorsed "per S.S. Oralau", trivial toned perfs, else fresh and very fine; a striking franking, these bisects being used following a fire on April 1, 1895, which destroyed significant stocks of stamps.
