1937 (September 13), printed matter cover from Harbin, Manchukuo to France, franked with 1½f Pagoda and 2½f Floral definitives paying the 4f printed matter rate, both tied by crisp bilingual Harbin circular datestamps, violet straight-line “PRINTED MATTER” handstamp at upper right and manuscript route directive “Via U.R.S.S.” at top, addressed to Fismes, Marne, France with clear black Fismes (25 Sep) receiver on reverse and sender’s violet cachet at upper left, an attractive and scarce commercial printed matter usage abroad.
