1934 (July 18), commercial cover from Shan Hai Kwan, Manchukuo to France, franked with single 10f Pagoda definitive tied by clear bilingual Shan Hai Kwan circular datestamp, manuscript directive “Via Siberia” at top, addressed to St. Raphaël, Var, France, reverse with c.d.s. transit backstamp, (5 Aug), opening tears at top and small repair though still presentable, a scarce example of the 10f franking for the single-weight surface letter rate, from the strategic city where the Great Wall meets the Bohai Sea.
