Lombardy–Venetia, 1851 (22 January), Milan “mute” cancellation, on 30 centesimi brown First Issue, Type I, first printing, the adhesive on handmade paper with full to wide margins all around, cancelled by the clear struck Milano mute handstamp, small three-line Milano 22 Gen datestamp below, on complete folded letter to Morbegno, minor ink erosion affecting the address only, otherwise sound and attractive, a classic and scarce Milan usage, signed Enzo Diena with 1990 photo certificate.
